My name is Charley Williams. I am a professional scuba diving instructor, underwater content creator and photographer from England, now based in South East Asia.
My journey into diving started when I was 13, with a Discover Scuba Dive that very quickly became much more than a holiday experience. By 16, I had completed my Open Water, Advanced and Rescue certifications, and at 18 I moved to Thailand to become a Divemaster. I later became an instructor in Tenerife before returning to Thailand, where I spent years teaching and working aboard liveaboards.
Over time, my passion evolved from teaching into underwater photography and videography. A camera changed the way I experienced diving, making me pay closer attention to animal behavior, light, movement and the moments that make every dive different.
Today, my work takes me around the world creating underwater content and organizing dive trips. I’m especially passionate about sharks, large marine life and remote destinations, but my involvement in coral restoration in Thailand has also given me a much deeper appreciation for reefs and the challenges they face.
What I love most about diving is its unpredictability. No matter how many times I get in the water, I never know exactly what I’m going to encounter. Being able to capture those moments and share them with others is what drives me today — and what keeps me excited for the next dive.
