My name is Cami Torres. I am an underwater photographer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller from Argentina, with over seven years of experience documenting marine environments around the world, including Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Egypt, and my home country.
I began my journey with photography at a young age, but it was in 2018, during a trip to Thailand, where I discovered the underwater world and everything changed. Diving became not only a profession, but a way of understanding life — a space where movement, light, and emotion come together in their purest form.
Since then, I have worked as a professional diver and underwater image-maker, developing projects across different ecosystems, from coral reefs to cenotes, always with a strong focus on storytelling and conservation. My work has also expanded into collaborations with global brands and environmental organizations, using visual language as a bridge between people and the ocean.
My approach blends artistic sensitivity with documentary intention. I am deeply interested not only in marine life, but also in the human presence within water — exploring themes of vulnerability, strength, and connection. Through minimalist compositions and natural light, I aim to create images that feel immersive, honest, and emotionally resonant.
Beyond photography, I am currently developing long-term projects that combine visual storytelling with environmental awareness, including a photographic book and future documentary work. My goal is to create work that not only inspires, but also educates and generates a deeper sense of responsibility toward our oceans.
For me, the ocean is not just a subject — it is a place of transformation. And through my images, I hope to bring people closer to that experience, and remind them of the importance of protecting the most vital ecosystem we have.
