The D1X is part of the new generation of amazing and unique Insulated Constant Volume Drysuits, developed and patented a couple of years ago. There is, so far, no followers from competitors to match these unique features. At Waterproof we have always been keen on keeping up with the latest materials and developments and the D1X is the result of this.
The outer fabric of D1X is made of soft, flexible and strong Polytech 500 Tri-Lam fabric. The patented system of D1X includes a detachable, integrated 3D Mesh inner lining – a soft and flexible material with outstanding insulation. The suit is equipped with a metal dryzipper with zipper cover, SI TECH Quick Neck System with Warm Neck, SI TECH QCS Oval Ring System with Warm Cuffs, Silicone seals for neck and wrists and SI TECH valves. The unique Warm Neck and Cuff system is keeping the diver warmer, due to reduced water movement, and also protects the seals.
All parts of the suit concerning mobility have been anatomically designed to enhance the freedom of movement. The suit has DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber reinforced knee pads, a seam-free crotch area reinforced with heavy-duty Cordura® and an anti-slip seat for grip and abrasion protection – all this to ensure an excellent durable and comfortable drysuit.
MATERIAL – Strong Polytech 500 Tri-lam fabric and front in Nylotech, our newly developed Tri-Lam material, soft, flexible and stronger than ever. The patented system with the integrated 3D Mesh inner lining 50D is soft and flexible with outstanding insulation. The inner lining is detachable for washing.
BACK-ZIP – YKK/BDM metal dryzipper, maximal extended for easy donning and doffing.
ANATOMICAL FIT – All critical parts concerning mobility, like torso, pre-bent arms and legs have been anatomically designed to enhance the freedom of movement.
SI-TECH QUICK NECK – The neck is equipped with SI TECH Quick Neck System and comes with Waterproof Silicone Neck Seal. Extremely comfortable and easy to change. Latex and neoprene seals are also compatible.
SI-TECH QCS OVAL RING SYSTEM – The wrists are equipped with QCS ring system with comfortable Waterproof Silicone Wrist Seals. Easy to change. Latex seals are compatible. Optimised for the use of the ULTIMA dry glove system.
WARM NECK – The unique Warm Neck solution from Waterproof keeps you warmer due to reduced water movement around the neck. Equipped with drain valves and Velcro tabs.
WARM CUFF – The arms are equipped with detachable Warm Cuffs that minimize heat loss at the wrists and protect the seals.
POCKETS – Vast variety of pocket solutions are available.
MOLLE SYSTEM – Flexible design and location upon customer request.
BOOTS – Anatomical DuPont™ Kevlar® reinforced boots. Angled for the best mix of durability and performance, manufactured in a new hardcore tested rubber formula. Kevlar® reinforced front. Moulded fin strap anchor.
SOCKS – As an alternative to boots compressed neoprene socks are available.
KNEE PADS – Military Graded DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber reinforced knee pads.
REINFORCEMENT – Crotch area is reinforced with heavy duty Cordura®.
ANTI-SLIP – Anti-slip treatment seat provides a non-slip grip and abrasion protection.
ZIPPER COVER – Velcro closing cover provides protection of your dry zipper.
CHILL GUARD – Keeps your body heat in and your undergarments out of the zipper for trouble-free operation.
SUSPENDERS – Adjustable and detachable integrated suspenders.
SEAM-FREE CROTCH – The crotch is made in one piece, no seams. This to ensure an excellent durable and comfortable suit.
SI TECH VALVES – Swivelling inlet valve (CEJN or INT) and an adjustable automatic outlet valve. Type of valves and locations can be specified by the user.
MOLDED VELCRO TABS – TPE tab with moulded Velcro hooks, for adjusting the Warm Neck and Warm Cuffs, sticks only to the assigned Velcro part.
INCLUDED – Dry bag, inflation hose (CEJN or INT), spare silicone set, Neck Tite Tool, zip lubricant and user manual.
NON-MAGNETIC SIGNATURE – Optional, the suit can be designed with a Non-Magnetic signature, including special valves, zippers, features as well as a Non-Magnetic testing if required.

*3XL and 3XL/t have larger wrist rings. These rings do not fit the Ultima DGS system but fit the Quick Glove system from SI TECH.

It is all a matter of keeping a layer of insulating air between you and the cold water. The Patented 3D Mesh inner lining works like a thermos bottle. It creates what we call a Constant Insulation Volume.
The Patented 3D Mesh inner lining provides an unrestricted airflow and prevents trapped air. It makes buoyancy control easier and controls the inner climate.
The constant distance and unrestricted airflow provided by the 3D Mesh inner lining keeps moist air away from your body. As a result, you will feel dry and warm.
The 3D Mesh has exceptional resistance to pressure. It provides real pressure distribution and keeps the distance constant to the outer shell. This virtually eliminates squeeze and cold spots.
