"BUGDREAMER"

“I feel humbled, being surrounded by such incredible marine life and sharing in so many exceptional encounters throughout my career.”

After over a decade spent diving in the tropics, the idea of gearing up for colder water reminded me of how passionate I had become about what’s just below the surface.

I couldn’t wait for the euphoric sensation of entering into a new place, where the only familiar elements were the air in my regulator and the fins on my feet.

As the blue turned into green like the day turned into night, I felt alive. It was like putting on my drysuit for the very first time again. Pulling on my gloves and a thick hood over my face…this was it. My very first Canadian winter!

I had never experienced anything like it before. As I descended into the cold unknown, it was such a strange sensation, my body was completely dry. I was here exploring a new world and it was time to switch my camera back on!

Filming underwater creatures continues to inspire me as I keep learning their unique features and behaviors. Through my images I hope to help spread awareness around the world about how important and fragile different underwater ecosystems can be.

I feel humbled, being surrounded by such incredible marine life and sharing in so many exceptional encounters throughout my career. Bring on the magic of the Pacific Northwest!
